Listing a piece for sale

Turn a piece you already catalogued into a listing, and get paid when it sells.

Start here

Catalogue the piece first

A listing is created FROM a collection item — you pick the piece from your collection and the listing inherits its photographs, pattern, maker and colour palette. So if the piece is not in your collection yet, add it before you start.

  1. Add the piece to your collection. Open
  2. Then start a listing and select it. Open

Choose how you are offering it

One form covers every kind of listing. Pick sale, trade, both, or rental — the fields change to match. Trade listings take no price; rental listings ask for rates instead of a price.

Price, condition and shipping

Set your asking price and a shipping fee, describe the piece honestly, and record its condition with supporting evidence — close photographs of crazing, gilding wear, chips or repairs. Condition evidence is what buyer protection is judged against later, so it is worth doing properly.

What you take home

Tablesse deducts a 5% commission from your payout on the item price. Shipping passes through to you in full and is never commissioned. The buyer separately pays a 3% + $0.30 processing fee, which forwards what the payment processor charges and is not Tablesse revenue.

  1. Set up payouts before you publish, so the money has somewhere to land. Open
  2. Track and manage everything you have listed. Open

After it sells

You will be prompted to accept the Seller Agreement the first time you publish. Once a piece sells, ship it promptly and add tracking — the order moves through a clear fulfillment lifecycle that both sides can see.
